Currently, most web browsers have built-in password manager features, through which the username and password are saved and stored in an encrypted database, then it is automatically filled when the user goes to log-in.
Like other browsers, Google Chrome also has a built-in password manager, so you can save usernames and passwords through the browser in an instant.

Chrome Password Manager: What It Is and How It Works
Google Chrome Password Manager is a built-in and handy password manager that allows you to save passwords and usernames of different accounts online and it will be automatically filled up when login.
Again, when you first visit a website and create an account, Google Chrome will generate a random password, and it will be securely saved in your Google account and it will be instantly synced with the desktop and mobile versions of Google Chrome. One of its features I like very much is that it prevents the creation of accounts with the same password for each website and ensures that your valuable data is not lost whenever there is any kind of security problem.
How to use the Chrome password manager
First of all, if you want to see where the saved passwords of your Chrome browser are, then you have to click on the three dot button at the top right of the browser and then select the Settings > Password option. In the Password option you will see the list of your saved passwords and if you click on any password from the list of saved passwords, then a new tab will open and take you to the address of that web site.
And you will not be able to see or delete your saved passwords using the old method. Follow the steps below to view and manage your passwords using the Chrome Password Manager.
View, copy or delete saved password
To manage your passwords in the Chrome Password Manager, follow the steps below.
1. Open the Chrome Password Manager page, and if you are not signed in to your Google account, then input your Google account information now and sign in and click the Next button.
2. Click on Go to Password Check up option
3. Click on Go to Password Check up option again
4. Now input Enter your Google account password the password input field
5. Now, click on You don't want the password view or delete. However, if you do not see a password in the list, then you probably have not saved a password with the help of Chrome Password Manager, but then it will tell you that your password is weak, whether you are using the same password on different accounts, etc.
6. To see For your saved passwords, click on the three dots button on the right side and click on the View Password button. If you want to copy the password then click on the copy button and if you want to delete the password then click on the delete button. Then if you want to return to the password manager, close the new tab (the tab you are currently in).
Enable/disable offer to save password and auto sign-in
The offer to save passwords and auto sign-in works well in Android and Chrome browsers, when you browse a website Here you have saved yours account password, your account will be automatically logged in. And if you disable this option, then every time you visit that website, the Chrome browser will ask you whether to login using the password?
To enable the Offer to Save and Auto sign-in feature, click on the gear The icon is so top right to open a new window.
From here, click on the button on the right side of the feature you want to enable/disable
Note: If you enable the password saving feature, it will store your username and passwords and all you have to do is automatically fill your username and password and login as soon as you click on the sign in button on the website. However, if you disable this feature, I don't think you need to use a password manager. Because disabling auto sign in means that you will not sign in to a web site even if you visit a web site using Google Chrome browser, then there is no point in using only its feature.
Check password strength
Google Chrome Password Manager has a built-in tool called Password Checkup, through which you can check the strength and security of your passwords. You will be surprised to know that there are still many people who use common passwords like 123456 or ABC123 on multiple sites and if anyone tries this password then their account will be affected.
Also, with the help of password checkup tools, you can know about your weak passwords and if you have used those passwords on multiple sites, then change them now, and if that password is correct then change the passwords every two to three months.
And if you can not generate strong passwords like your mind using these tools, then there are several password generators online that you can use to generate strong passwords using random strings, different characters.
How to turn off Chrome Password Manager
First, you need to clear the passwords saved in your Chrome browser, so open the Chrome browser and click on the three dot button on the top right and select the Settings option.
Next, go to the Privacy and Security section and click on Clear browsing data
Now, from the new window, click on the Advanced tab. If you are signed in to more than one account, select those accounts and you want to delete the information of that account.
Then, select the All time option from the drop-down menu (or select the time range as you wish)
Now select the items you want to delete. Click on Passwords and other sign-in data to clear the saved password, and then click on the Clear data button Then all saved passwords are cleared from your Chrome browser.
Is Chrome Password Manager Enough for You?
Many of you may be wondering if Google Chrome Password Manager is really a powerful tool or is it enough for me to use? And so on. Chrome Password Manager is a basic tool designed for Google Chrome users to prevent Zen Chrome users from using any other browser. These tools are a good way to store all your passwords, sync your other devices, and fill up password forms automatically from any computer.
However, there are some problems with Google Chrome Password Manager:
- With a few tools, a hacker can access your accounts by cracking the passwords saved in your browser.
- If you do not enter a password on your system, there is no additional protection on your system so anyone can sign in to your account and open Chrome to see your passwords.
- You cannot export your passwords all at once.
- If you use the same password on different accounts, then knowing the password of an account means knowing the password of all your accounts, think about what a terrible situation can happen.
- If someone knows the password of the Google account in which you have saved the password, then he will know the password of all your other accounts. However, if someone logs in to your account through Google geo-location tracking, it will be marked as suspicious and will not give access to your account, but if someone logs in to your account through the same connection, Google will not be able to detect it.
If you choose to use it despite having problems with the Google Chrome password manager, we'll discuss a few things you can do for redundant security. One of these is to add a password or PIN to your operating system and enable two-factor authentication in your Google account.
Chrome's built-in security is not the best, and that's why I think using a third-party dedicated password manager would be much better than that. This allows you to have more control over your passwords and reduce the chances of weak passwords being hacked quickly
Final Words
At present, we have to open many accounts for different web sites, and this is why we all have many accounts, and if its passwords are different then it becomes difficult to remember. And for this, we have to use a password manager to manage our passwords. As a result, you no longer have to remember the password, the password manager will remember everything, but you have to remember a master password through which you will access the password manager, as an alternative to fingerprint, face ID or a PIN code.
Do you use the Chrome password manager to save and manage your passwords? Then share your user experience with us in the following tune.
